Jewelry as Talisman: What I Wear and Why It Matters

Jewelry as Talisman: What I Wear and Why It Matters

I don’t wear jewelry because it sparkles.

I wear it because it anchors me.

Every piece I make carries intention—sometimes it’s quiet and deeply personal, sometimes it’s loud with story and symbolism. But always, it’s made to hold meaning.

Jewelry, for me, is not decoration.

It’s ritual. It’s a reminder. It’s protection.

What Makes a Talisman?

In its simplest form, a talisman is something worn or carried for its energy—be it protection, guidance, luck, or connection to something deeper. In older traditions, talismans were carved with symbols, blessed in ritual, or carried into battle. Today, they might show up as a pendant you never take off. A ring that grounds you. A necklace that helps you feel like yourself again.

It’s not just about the materials. It’s about the intention behind them.

The Stories I Wear

Some mornings, I reach for a pendant carved with Freya and her cat—the goddess of love, grounding me when my mind is too scattered.

Other days, I wear a pomegranate, calling in focus and transformation. A reminder that death and rebirth are sisters. That the cycle continues, even when I can’t see the full arc yet.

Lately, it’s been the Dragon Ring Keeper.

Not just because I made it by hand, but because it reminds me that I’m allowed to guard my own energy. To protect the things I value most. To create strong magic in quiet ways.

What You Wear Matters

Whether you wear one of my pieces or something else that speaks to you—it matters.

Choose your jewelry like you’d choose an ally. Ask it to walk with you through hard things. Give it stories. Give it purpose. Let it become more than metal or stone.

Because magic isn’t just in what we cast.

It’s in what we carry.
